This has shown the difference between using authentic and your own created material for teaching. For younger students I think the own created material would be more suitable as you can create material to suit their needs and level of understanding. Course books can be a disadvantage as they are set for a general group of students. However, a teacher can leave out, change or add in his/her own material to suit the needs, and again, the level of the students in the class.
