This unit has been very useful especially about the information on authentic and creative materials. I learnt that as part of a course book, teachers can also add supplementary materials based on the type of student he or she has and when there is too much omission of items from a course book, students may start wondering the authenticity of it.In this unit, I was able to refine my skills in the past tenses. I use the past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous forms when talking and writing but taking time to study these forms reminds me the intricacies of the English language. As the past continuous forms shows us, studying unit 6 on past tenses was helpful.
