This section began to cover the fundamental building blocks of the English language. Such building blocks include the requirements for sentence structure, various parts of speech and their uses, proper placement of these parts, and some suggestions for helping learners to grasp these concepts. This section contained vital knowledge for an aspiring English teacher. A teacher must play the role as the expert authority on the English language, and even though many native English speakers need not remember these building blocks in their daily lives, English teachers must be able to adequately explain these concepts to their students.
