Course materials affect how the lesson plan i carry out and can differ depending on the teacher and their respective abilities. Authentic materials can be effective depending how they're are used because using more advanced materials on beginners can be discouraging and cause students lose interest. Created materials are also very effective since they can be more geared toward students, but to generic of a material and it can be boring. Not much to say about course books they are effective and are great ways to craft a syllabus, unfortunately when teachers rely to much on these course books they lose credibility to their students.
