It was a good reminder on the importance of having multiple resources. If students are just reading from a textbook all day every day, they are going to become very bored and are not going to be interested in the material. With no interest, their drive to learn is going to decrease. If the material is being modified for the specific group of students, they are going to benefit from it and learn to the best of their ability. It's important for teachers to create lessons and materials when the course book is not the best material. If students can use authentic sources, they are going to be able to apply that to their every day life.
