Unit Nineteen: Teaching Special Groups is about different scenarios you might encounter teaching English to speakers of other languages. It lists some of the groups and gives tips on teaching them. The tips on teaching business English, for example, are quite practical. I was happy to see that the tips for classroom management with children, an area where some people differ philosophically, were very positive toward the child. It is important for teachers to recognize factors like a child's home life, peer pressure, etc. and not blame the child. I was also happy to see that the unit said that boredom was often the teacher's fault!
