I feel this unit has helped me specifically think about how to approach the class for the first time. I realize that the first day will probably set the way the class will go for the rest of the year, how students will approach new words and learn, and that's a major responsibility. Everything that a teacher has to do must be done with thought and care as well as precision and purpose so that the class can actually walk away with learning something new every time. Vocabulary can be fun to learn if done the right way so this unit gave me a lot to think about in specifically choosing the right words and prompts to motivate the class.
