This unit discussed the various types of students a teacher may encounter when teaching English as a foreign language. It discussed the various types of beginner students (including absolute beginner, false beginner, adult beginner, young beginner, and beginner without the Roman alphabet), and described the needs of each. It also went over the teaching methods used when teaching young learners/children. The most in depth section of the unit was that on teaching business English. The unit described the various situations and students one might be presented with, and how to properly teach business English in the professional setting.
