This unit talked about the various types of tests that come when learning English. In a language school a student would first take a placement test to know what level he or she is. Then throughout the course, the students would take progress tests to constantly monitor that the information is being learned. The course or each term may end in an external test which puts all the knowledge learned up to that point. There are also many tests which can give you certification and a stated level of English. These tests are internationally recognized and often necessary for non-English speakers to have if they wish to work or study abroad.
