This unit made me realize that the teacher should carefully select teaching aids that are appropriate to the abilities of his/her students to ensure that students overcome difficulties and help them apply the new learning acquired. He/she should always bear in mind that more than the suitability of the materials used, they should also catch the interest of the students to keep them engaged in the lesson. Also, both authentic materials and created materials can play multiple roles in language teaching, however, it requires proper and systematic use of these materials so as not to lose its significance in aiding students' learning.
