For unit 12, I learned about the two productive skills, writing and speaking. Once again, this unit incorporates the ESA format into the lesson to better familiarize the student with this basic method of teaching as it is probably going to be the first method used by most new teachers. It is easy to grasp and quick to plan for and as simple as one can get when executing an ESL lesson. I learned the difference between accuracy and fluency and that they are equally important. I learned a good number of games to play in the class and I learned a few different ways to encourage students to speak. I hope it works with the super shy ones.
