This unit covered the common problems that arise in teaching. It included how the teacher should approach first lessons and what the goal of those lessons should be, how to warm-up the students appropriately before giving them the true lesson, strategies for teaching a class filled with learners of various abilities, how to manage large classes, reluctant students, difficulties with listening texts, and how to interpret why students may resort to using their native language in class. The majority of my learning was constructed around how to deal with reluctant students and students who insist on using their native language in class.
