Completing this unit and watching these two contrasting examples of teaching and lesson plan, showcase the ESA method in practice. This has allowed me to see everything I have thus far learnt in this course in action, both the good examples and the ineffective. By watching the first video it was clear how a poor attitude amongst other factors can have a significant impact on student learning, particularly excessive teacher talk times. Whilst the second video highlighted how a kind, relaxed approach and a maximising student talk time can get students far more involved and create a far more productive and friendly learning environment.
