Unit 19 was all about teaching special groups. As an english teacher, you may not only teach english to children but also to teenagers, adults, and even business english. Each group requires a different method of teaching based not only on their language level, but also on their age. There are five different types of english learner levels: the absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner, and the beginner without Roman alphabet. Knowing which category the student falls in is only the start. It is always important to base the lesson plan around the needs of the students using what interests them.
