This unit told me what to consider when choosing particular language aspects to teach students and what elements of these the students are required to know, such as their correct forms and usage. I also learnt how to appropriately plan lessons around these aspects and which types of lessons (straight arrow, boomerang or patchwork) are most effective. This unit also helped reinforce my understanding of the Engage, Study and Activate phases due to the examples given and the worksheet tasks of lesson planning so I am now feeling a lot more confident in my ability to lesson plan and how to ensure each phase stays relevant to the others.
