Unit 17 covers equipment and teaching aids in the classroom. Teaching aids can be utilized to make lessons more effective, interesting, and less dependent on textbooks. The most commonly used teaching aids and equipment are boards (including flip charts, blackboards, whiteboards, and interactive whiteboards), visual aids (such as pictures, photographs, or realia), overhead projectors, CD players, DVDs and videos, worksheets and cards, cassette recorders, course books, resource books, dictionaries, photocopiers, video cameras, and computers. There are also numerous online resources covering almost everything a TEFL teacher might need.
