This unit covers course books and lesson materials. Ther sections cover two types of materials: authentic material and created material, providing example material and stating the use of each material towards students. The course book section covers the pros and cons, factors of choosing course books and the best use. From this unit, I have learnt the pros and cons of the two types of materials and how it depends on the student language level. I also understand the pros and cons for using coursebooks with a class and how to maximise the effects in a lesson. The example materials were very useful as they provided me with an idea of the possible types of materials I can create.
