I am a long time teacher. Your advice to beginning teachers is excellent. Rapport, interactions among all individuals, the traditions that lead to engagement and learning should be a teachers primary purposes for the first and maybe a couple of lessons more. Rules are made to be broken, while traditions are followed by all - including the teacher. Arriving eager, prepared and a bit more, and with a purpose sets a tone for all. I expect to make mistakes, but I expect to learn too. TEFL seems like another opportunity to grow. Your presentations are very overwhelmingly spot on, and they have taught this too... experienced a teacher humility and a thing or two. Thank you.
