The material is always important to both sides. I have faced difficulties so many times from a working place just because of the usage of the curriculum, material the school provides. And only because I have been working in China for the last 4 years, most of the material is outdated and boring to the students. Or there is another side of it. Some school they do buy a newer version of curriculum but they don't give much time to the teacher to prepare and familiarize themselves with it, but they are asked to start right away and in the process the teacher should learn. OF course I am not talking about the International school, that use the proper books, but the Chinese school.
