There are a number of ways to indicate a future context for an idea we want to express in English. This includes the four future tenses, which basically have the same forms as the other tenses covered both present and past, as well as an additional grammatical construction of be going + infinitive and a reuse of the present simple tense, but with a future meaning. Each of these grammatical structures has a different nuance in meaning that affects how the future reference will be interpreted. Some tenses such as the future perfect and the future perfect continuous are very similar in nuance and care must be taken in their differentiation so they are not confused with the other.
