I've always liked textbooks because students are able to always go back and review what they have learned and have a clear syllabus to the lesson. In language lessons I've taken the supplement materials are always nice but they are often lost or not reviewed again like the materials in textbooks since it isn't in a visually appealing format. The introduction of \"authentic materials\" seems like a very nice idea and I can't wait to implement that because sometimes the made-up language learning scenarios create a disconnect with the real life usage of the language because people never get to see the language used authentically, especially if they are not living in that country.
