Unit 5, titled Lesson Planning, covered what a lesson plan, the different elements of it, and how teachers can create the most effective/helpful plan. The unit first explained that planning lessons is not required, however, for newer/less experienced teachers it is extremely helpful. The structure of lesson planning should lessen as the teacher gains experience and comfortability. The unit then explained how a lesson plan should be written down and the significance of being organized. Finally, the unit gave the individual parts of a lesson plan (what goes in them), an example of a functional lesson plan, as well as some example exercises for learning/teaching a specific tense.
