Having fun and engaging activities to do in the classroom is the key to a well taught English course. Having worked with young learners for a long time, keeping them interested through the entire lesson is a challenge. Different age groups have different aspects that work well and also don't work as well. This unit highlights these differences well. Once again the list of different activities and games are a big help to my teaching. I think finding a nice balance between fun and lessons is hard to do at times. Using singing and chanting with younger learners (age 5-8) is something that I will try. I think it will help the students with difficult grammar and sentence structures.
