Unit 13, Pronunciation and phonology was more difficult than I anticipated. The intonation patterns were fascinating. I found myself talking aloud often trying out the different rise/fall patterns. Stress is something that I'm still a little unclear on, maybe I just need to familiarize myself with the \"rules\" more. I like the teaching tips associated with each intricacy. To be honest, the phonemic alphabet is a bit overwhelming. This I will need to spend more time learning. I always say that I have a hard time knowing how to pronounce English words (compared to other languages that are more consistent). Being able to look up how something is phonemically will be a huge asset.
