In this unit, I have learned that there are several ways of evaluating students and giving ongoing feedback will help students in the long run, the students can then receive information they need to evaluate their own level and progress. Placement test can assist the formation of groups and students at the same level. A diagnostic test can be used to understand what the students know and don?t know at the beginning of the course so the teachers can better plan future lessons. Progress tests can be used to keep track of students? progresses throughout the course. Practice tests are usually used to prepare the students of the external examination they are going to take.
