In this unit I learned about creating lesson plans that focus on advancing students' writing and speaking skills. It taught me I can use the ESA format to assure the students practice their speaking and writing within the class. I learned to distinguish between accurate and fluent language. I can create activities to assure students are speaking correctly as well as ones that allows them to become comfortable speaking out loud while waiting to correct any important or repetitive mistakes after the lesson. This unit continued to teach me that a lesson shouldn't only focus on the subject being taught. It needs to assure students can practically utilize the grammar and vocabulary.
