This unit reviews the Engage, Study, Activate method and structures and applies them to teaching new language. The unit covers the basics of what to consider when choosing new vocabulary to teach, such as how appropriate the vocabulary is, how frequently students' will use or come across it, and whether it relates to a grammatical concept the students are at the appropriate level to use. The unit also provides examples of possible class structures that are conducive to teaching new language structures and vocabulary in tandem. I learned what kinds of activities best serve the goals of each section of the ESA organization and how to piece together a lesson with those activities.
