In this unit I learned about the qualities of a good teacher and learner. I was able to evaluate my own qualities while reading the material. I learnt about the factors that affects learning such as age culture, language levels and the motivation to learn a new language. The language levels of beginners, elementary, low/pre intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced was interesting to know that you have to be patient to go through all these stages regardless of your age. The three categories of young learners (pre-schooler, pre-puberty and post-puberty) gives me an idea of the different strategies that would be necessary to teach each one. Very interesting unit.
