From this Unit I have learned about how to test level of students and what EFL levels are equivalent of CEF. I also learned about analysing students' needs and how to develop a course for young learners, what are some of the limiting factors affecting the syllabus , what kind of syllabus are there and how to design one depending on whether the class has to focus on the grammar or a communicative purpose. It is helpful and important to know how long the course is, how many progress tests should it include, what language points to cover and what ability and age range is the group. I learned the difference between the diagnostic, placement, aptitude, proficiency and progress tests .
