In this unit we learn about course books and lesson materials. We get taught the difference between authentic and created materials - both which are interesting and good to use. We learn all about coursebooks and the advantages and disadvantages of using them. We look at the best use of course books and the four different options for the use of them. Finally we learn how to analyse a course book in order to see (if we have the advantage of choosing our own coursebook) which book would be best to use. When using a coursebook it is important to follow it, but supplement and adapt the material where necessary for the needs of your students.
