This unit covered the different types of evaluation and testing for TEFL. It is interesting to learn the different types of tests - the diagnostic, placement test, the progression test. Also, I had never really considered that these learners would take an external exam, so I was interested to read all about the different certifications on offer. I was especially interested to see all that Cambridge offers, as I teach First Language English for CIE. Cambridge, therefore, is a thoroughly trusted institution for me, and I would be interested to read further about the different tests they have on offer for non-native speakers of English.
