This unit gave me a better understanding of the various roles an EFL teacher and student may play in the classroom. It also gave a brief overview of the different types of learners and some obstacles those learners may face in the classroom. The breakdown of language levels gave me a better understand of what I may be able to expect from students with different levels of ability and understanding of the English language. The section which lays out reasons that may motivate students to learn English will be helpful for me, as an EFL teacher, because I now have a better understanding of the goals that students may have in the classroom.
