The focus of this unit was an overview of different teaching methods and strategies, including their strengths and weaknesses. This unit offers ideas for best practices in structuring lessons according to ESA style, and it elaborates on what the goals of each section of Engage, Study, and Activate should be, while providing ideas for activities that can fulfill those goals. In this unit, I learned a variety of ways to structure a class session and gained a great deal of tools to use to meet the aims of each section of the lesson. Further, I learned when and how it is appropriate to correct students during class and in written assignments.
