This unit was important because it dealt with reading and listening: two of the hardest parts of learning a new language. I also struggled with listening when I was learning a language, so I am glad listening was covered in this unit. I now know how to teach listening to my students. I will not have them listen to anything too difficult or too low for their level. I think teachers pick the lowest level in hope that the students will understand, even if the students are at a high level. I also know that the interests of my students are very important when picking topics. It is always important to have a good relationship with your students.
