In this lesson, I learned about conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are sentences that have the words ?If? or ?When? in them and indicate some type of condition. For example. If I were to say, ?If I had enough money, I would travel the world?, this would be an example of a conditional. The ?If? indicates that a condition must be placated before the main clause can be addressed. There are five conditionals. They are the zero conditional, the first conditional, the second conditional, the third conditional, and the mixed conditional. I also learned about reported speech and direct speech. Direct speech takes place when a conversation is happening between two people only. Reported speech is when one of those two parties tell a third party what was said in the original two-person conversation. For example, if I were to say, ?I love you? to someone, and then a third party asked what I said, the person I originally spoke to would say? She said that she loves me?. I also learned about time expressions. Example include things like ?Today? being changed to ?That day?, etc.
