I enjoyed this unit because it helped me realize the amount of resources at my disposal. The thought of using a DVD or video in the activate stage as a communicative activity would not have crossed my mind. I believe that learning should be fun and I also believe that in today's digital age, using a DVD/video or even the video recorder is something students can get excited about because it's something they enjoy doing or using when they aren't in the classroom. I was also surprised to learn about all the online resources and that Fred Riley compiled them in an easy to find place. Teaching is a bit less daunting knowing there are resources that many teachers all over the world use.
