In this unit I learned about future tenses. This unit covered the present simple tense, be going tense, future simple tense, future perfect tense, future continuous tense, future perfect continuous tense and the present continuous tense. This unit was very confusing to me as I did not previous know most of the terminology. I learned that the present simple tense is for formal situations, schedules and times, and for impersonal tones. The be going tense is for intentions, predictions using present evidence, and plans. Future simple is your basic future tense. The future perfect tense is for things that will have been completed at a specific time in the future. Future continuous is for things in progress in the future, asking about people's plans, predicting, and for future fixed events. Future perfect continuous is for saying will have been going on at a specific time. Lastly, the present continuous is for definite plans and plans without a time frame.
