Unit seven goes over the theory and takes a close look at reading and listening skills. It also goes through the skills and then covers a lot of techniques and activities that are associated with them. This unit also goes over how we read and listen. That we must not only be able to recognize and understand the words but also be able to grasp of the overall meaning. There are a certain set of special skills starting with predictive skills, specific information/scanning, general idea/skimming, detailed information and adduction from context. Pre-teaching vocabulary is one of the ways teaching students difficult/unknown language and structures. Make sure to carefully select your text to listen and reading materials presented to the students. Also goes over topics and how to create interest and tasks and gives examples through a patchwork lesson plan and some worksheets which you would use in class for their knowledge. Overall this was a good learning unit are reading and listening skills.
