Brief Overview: Past simple: It is a completed past actions at a definite time. Past Continuous: Expressing actions in progress at time in the past. Past Perfect: Past action in the past and it relates two past activities to each other. Past Perfect Continuous: Using to communicate a continuing action in the past up until an action in the past. But one should focus on the structure of the sentence instead of the usage of the sentences because the structure of the sentence is the one that dictate the tense use. I think the tips from the video is very helpful, especially the worksheet at the end of the video. It makes it very clear how all the structures been used in context. It also helped me to identify the structure of the sentence because it mentioned that it is when it dictates the tense use. I also like how the units been break down to different tenses from present tense and slowly moved to past tense and later future tense. I am always afraid of English when it comes to grammar, but after reading this unit, I have slightly more confidence in my grammar. I have clearer knowledge on how to use the simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous in English.
