Unit 9 on Lesson planning provides essential pieces of advice, guidance and tools on ?How to write a lesson plan??, ?how it should be done? and what should be included on it. So that, in the end, we have a clear guide as to what we want to achieve and how we are going to do it. Among those essential advises on ?Lesson Planning? I found very useful the mentioning of key elements that should be included in all types of lesson plans (whichever the lesson or level of learners), such as: learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedures, phases, timings, interaction, class level, number of students in the class, date/time and teacher?s and observer?s names. After reading this unit and gone through the examples of lesson planning sheets I feel I have much more visual and structured idea of how lesson planning can be done and improved and efficiently used in the classroom. Furthermore, I also appreciated the examples of tasks provided at the end of unit 9 ? for the Study, Engage and Activate part of a lesson depending on the subject being taught i.e vocabulary, present tenses..ect
