The first unit has clearly specified the different qualities a good teacher and learner should poses. It has also explained the different roles that the teacher must act out in the classroom. Furthermore this unit has explained the internationally recognized levels of English skill, and it has highlighted the differences between students of different age groups. Finally this unit prompted me to think about the reasons why learners want or have to study the English language. To me the most interesting part was learning about the roles of a teacher because it made me realize that a teacher's job is a very complex mixture of different elements.
