In this first unit, I learned how important it is for both the teacher and the student to be engaged and motivated in the learning lesson. Teachers can keep students' interest by implementing various teaching roles. Not only is it important for teachers to know which roles to apply at the appropriate time, but teachers must also asses the learning level and background of the student to maximize results. On the other hand, it is vital that students express a desire to be taught, ask questions and learn from their mistakes. If both parties are motivated and have a good relationship with one another, the student is more likely to be successful.
