The future tense has its common four aspects as the other tenses: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous, but there are other tenses and forms that are used to talk about the future; they are: \"be going to,\" present simple, and present continuous. First, the future simple is formed with the auxiliary verb \"will,\" plus the base form of the main verb. Some of its usages are to make predictions with no evidence, to talk about future facts, to make threats or promises, and to make sudden decisions. Second, the future continuous is formed with \"will,\" plus \"be,\" plus main verb with -ing. We can use the future continuous to talk about actions in progress at a future time, also to predict what someone else might be doing now, and to talk about future, unchanged events. Third, the future perfect requires \"will,\" plus the auxiliary \"have,\" plus the past participle. The main function of this tense is to talk about something that will be done before a time in the future. Then, the future perfect continuous is structured by using three auxiliaries: first \"will,\" then '\"have,\" and finally \"been,\" which is followed by the present participle. The future perfect continuous is used to express the duration of an action in progress by a certain point in the future. The other tenses used to talk about the future are: \"be going to,\" which is used to talk about planned decisions and predictions with evidence, the present simple - used for future schedules, and the present continuous, which is for future arrangements. When teaching the future tenses, teachers need to make sure that students do not confuse \"be going to\" with the present continuous. Also, it is very important to teach \"be going to\" when teaching the future simple, so students know the differences between both forms.
