This unit teaches theories, methods and techniques involved in TEFL course work. Unit three covers the various methods of teaching such as Engaging, Studying and Activating. the unit offers suggestions on technique like the use of role playing in building comfort and competency in the students by promoting a fun and relaxed sanctity based approach.This unit introduced the basics of teaching a new language. We studied the appropriacy of the vocabulary, grammar and language functions that can be selected by a teacher depending on the age and level of the students. Moreover, six core principles of explaining the vocabulary were shown. Such as meaning, usage, grammar, spelling and pronunciation.
