This unit covered the past tenses of the English language. The different forms they take, their usages and common mistakes that students often make. I found the 'activate stage' tips to be very helpful in helping students learn the difficult parts or those that don't have structure such as the irregular verbs of the past simple tense.This lesson was helpful in getting a feel for the variety of different teaching styles that exist. It is comforting to know that there is not one strictly proven method, and that certain methods usually perform better within certain age groups. I am looking forward to developing my own technique when it comes to my own ESL class room.
