This unit provide a necessary, detailed review of the categorizations of English words. This automatically leads into thinking more about sentence construction. It also lead me to thinking about how to teach this to my future Japanese students. I think I now have a better handle on some of the common mistakes I encounter here in Japan.It was helpful for me to be thinking about using a course book as something that can still be malleable. I think that it's true that using authentic materials will improve confidence because they are reading things native speakers would encounter. I'm glad there was some dependable companies mentioned that I can look through on my own.
