overview of the content of the unit The unit is about the evaluation of students? language skills. The wide range of tests that can be used prior, during and after the course of an English language course is also introduced in the material of the unit. Also, a sample of a placement test is attached.This unit highlighted the importance of teaching receptive skills namely reading and writing and highlighted the best ways to go about teaching these skills. I found the lesson plan particularly helpful as it showed an effective way to teach these skills in a way that the students will find enjoyable.
