Since I have not taught any other language than my mother tongue Finnish, the concepts used in teaching English were new and useful to me. I had not heard about ESA before even though the methods used in it were familiar to me. In addition I learnt what are the English codes used for correcting writing.This unit tells us that students at all levels needs to be exposed to the language, understand it, know how it is constructed and produce it. Teaching vocabulary and grammar typically uses the ESA structure. The ESA structure can be straight arrow, boomerang or patchwork based on the lesson been taught.
