This unit covered the various methods that have been used to teach ESL. It talked about the creator, the approach and the success of that approach. It illustrated the strengths and weaknesses of each methodology. It also broke down an ESA lesson and various applications of that approach in the classroom.In this unit, I learned what productive skills are and how to teach them. I also learned how to plan a lesson to stimulate and improve writing and speaking skills. I learned what I should take into consideration when teaching those skills to students with other non-western backgrounds and first languages
