In this lesson I could see two examples of the same teacher, lesson, and students but with different teachers' attitude. In the first one the teacher has no organization skills, does not establish any rapport with students and does not provide any feedback to the students. The teacher writes few examples on the board, asks few questions, if a students answers incorrectly the teacher disapproves, gives the students papers to feel out and sits down. He does not teach in phases (engage, study, activate) and does not know how to answer the students' questions. Students talk time is very limited and students look really confused and bored. There is also no games, no pair activities and no personal connection (does not know any of the students? names). In the second video the teacher smiles all the time, asks students to write their names on a piece of paper and makes sure he pronounces all of them the right way. He starts the lesson with a game (engage) in pairs. He helps students find some more words with mime. With drilling, gap filling exercise in pairs (he explaines with showing an example how to do the activity) and feedback and correction of mistakes (by asking questions not just saying no this is not correct) finishes the study phase. At the end of the lesson he gives the students an pair activity to make up an super animal and discuss what it can or can not do (activate phase). He finishes the lesson with feedback and thanks to the student. Student in this video are happy, they all contribute to the lesson and they don?t look confused or bored. In this unit I saw an example of a bad lesson and example of a good one. The teacher can do so much to help students to learn in a fun and confident way. If the teacher has no organization skills, has no respect and looks like he does not really want to be there, the students will feel the same. In the first example they looked really stressed and confused. In the second example where the teacher was more personal, smiled a lot and had a lot of respect and patience, the student seem to have much more confidence and fun.
